Little information survives about composer Jeames Harden (ca​.​1560​-​1626). Harden was appointed flautist as a Musician in Ordinary at the English court from 1575 until his death in 1626. The 'Duo Hardin' is among only a handful of works that survive, mostly for keyboard.
